Can my team manage multiple sites and roles?

Yes. Scafflinq is built for multi-site operations with unlimited projects, branches and users. You can assign inspectors, supervisors and admins to specific sites and control their permissions from one place.

Do my customers have to sign up?

Accepted Answer

No. Your builders, clients and site visitors can scan a Scafftag with any smartphone camera to view the scaffold’s public safety status and key inspection details, without creating a Scafflinq account.

Do my clients or site visitors need the app?

Accepted Answer

No. Anyone can scan a Scafftag in their mobile browser to view scaffold status, last inspection and special conditions. Only your internal team needs the Scafflinq mobile app and dashboard.

Do builders need a Scafflinq account to check a Scaffold?

No, all you need to do is scan using your phone camera to check the status and inspection history of a scaffold.

Can one scaffold have more than one tag?

Yes. Every scaffold has one Primary Tag, and you can add Additional Access Tags for each access point on larger scaffolds. Each tag has its own unique QR code, and scanning any of them opens the same scaffold record with the same status and inspection history.

Do additional tags create separate scaffold records?

Accepted Answer

No. All tags on a scaffold point to a single scaffold record. Inspections belong to the scaffold, not to an individual tag, so you get one inspection history with no duplicates. A worker scanning at the south stair sees exactly what a worker at the north stair sees.

What happens if a Scafflinq tag gets damaged?

Your records are safe. All inspection history, photos, and certificates are stored in the cloud against the scaffold, not on the physical tag. If a tag is damaged, lost, or stops scanning, you can replace it yourself: attach a new tag to the scaffold, then use the app to replace the tag on that scaffold record. The full inspection history carries straight over. Additional Access Tags work the same way, so replacing one access point's tag does not affect the scaffold or its other tags.

Can we build custom inspection checklists?

Yes. Create and manage your own checklist in the Admin Portal. Updates apply to future inspections only; completed inspections remain unchanged.

Yes. Inspectors can attach photos during an inspection to capture site conditions, defects, completed works, or anything else that needs to be recorded. These photos are stored with the inspection record for future reference.

Yes. Scafflinq can generate digital handover certificates from completed inspections, helping your team provide clear records of scaffold status, sign-off details, and inspection outcomes.

Yes. Scafflinq keeps a digital record of scaffold inspections, including inspection dates, outcomes, notes, photos, and sign-off details. This gives your team a clearer audit trail and makes it easier to find past inspection information when needed.

Do I pay per user or scaffold?

You only pay for active Digital Scafftags, not per user. Pricing is a simple usage-based fee per tag per week, with unlimited users, projects and scaffolds, and your first 5 tags are free for life. If a scaffold has multiple access points, each Additional Access Tag is charged at a lower rate than the Primary Tag.

Are there any per user or per project charges?

No. Fees are incurred only while your scaffold remains erected. We cease charging once you dismantle the scaffold, and the tag's status changes to Inactive. The same applies to Additional Access Tags: billing stops when the scaffold is dismantled or that access point is made inactive.

Do builders need to pay anything for Scafflinq?

No, scaffolding companies subscribe to Scafflinq, everybody else is free.

No, we operate on a SaaS billing model to keep our overheads low and our service more affordable.

How much do Additional Access Tags cost?

Additional Access Tags are $0.25 per active tag per week. Your Primary Tag remains $1.00 per active tag per week. So a scaffold with one Primary Tag and two Additional Access Tags active for four weeks costs $5.00 in total.

Yes, we provide a custom printing solution to increase your brand visibility.

How do we order more Digital Scafftags?

Accepted Answer

You can order additional Scafflinq Digital Scafftags through the web portal. Once logged in, go to the Order Management screen to place an order. If you need a larger quantity of tags for new projects, increased scaffold volume, or replacement stock, contact the Scafflinq team and we’ll help arrange the order.

Can damaged tags be replaced?

Yes, and you can do it yourself. Attach a new tag to the scaffold, then replace the tag on that scaffold record in the app. All inspection history stays with the scaffold. If you need more physical tags, you can order them through the web portal.
