How to roll out Scafflinq to your team
Use this checklist to move your team onto Scafflinq. Most contractors start with one project, get the team comfortable, then add the rest.
1. Set up your company
- Sign up your company on the web or in the mobile app, and order your first boxes of tags. The first 5 active tags are free.
- In the web portal, fill in your Company Profile and add any Branches.
2. Check your settings in the web portal
- Inspection Checklists: review the checklist your inspectors will use, and add your own groups and questions if you need them.
- Scaffolds & Inspections: set the default inspection schedule, the number of photos required on each inspection, the amber warning period before an inspection is due, and your load classes.
- Handover Certificates: add your logo, the text at the top of the certificate, your acceptance conditions, and whether the customer needs to sign off.
- User Permissions: decide whether inspectors can create projects and scaffolds, or whether that stays with the office.
3. Invite your team
- Add your team members and give each person the right role. See user roles and permissions for what each role can do.
- Ask everyone to install the Scafflinq mobile app and accept their invite before their first day on Scafflinq.
4. Start with one project
- Add the project.
- Tag the scaffolds on that project: scan a tag, fill in the scaffold details and complete the first inspection. See how to add a scaffold and how to inspect a scaffold.
- Ask your inspectors to set up inspection reminders, so they're told when inspections are coming up or overdue.
5. Brief your inspectors
- Walk through one scan, inspection and sign-off together on site.
- Show them how to replace a lost or damaged tag without losing the scaffold's history.
- Explain what each scaffold status means.
6. Tell your builders and site managers
- Send them the builder email template. It explains that anyone on site can scan a tag with a phone camera to see the scaffold's status, last inspection and special conditions, with no app or account.
- Point them to Scafflinq for builders.
7. Roll out to your other projects
- Once the first project is running smoothly, add your remaining projects and tag their scaffolds.
- Check the web dashboard for overdue and upcoming inspections across every project.
